Wubi

regaining downloaded applications for further installation

I am tried ubuntu many times installing inside windows. There is no option i found to save an application downloaded to install it later. so it is difficult for me to use the operating system when i formates and re-install. Is there is any option available to store downloaded applications in ubuntu.?
please help me ...
i am now using ubuntu 11.04.

Since you're using a Wubi system, you could saved the backed up packages to somewhere in /host (which represents the Windows drive inside which the Wubi system resides), and then restore it from there next time you set up an Ubuntu system.

However, if you find you must constantly reinstall your Wubi system, perhaps you are experiencing a separate problem. If you think you are, please feel free to post a separate question about it.
