how do u get more than 10GB of memory

i am running ubuntu 11.04 on my laptop, an have noticed when i go in2 my home folder i have only 8.6GB of disc space.it is currently being run as a dual boot till i have familiarised myself enough with the system & got used to using the terminal.Very new user 2 Linux,but won't b going back 2 windows now.any help much appreciated

It sounds like you used WUBI to do the install. You can either

1) Try using the wubi virtual disk resizer

2) Do a proper install of ubuntu, rather than using WUBI.

thanx mycae,

yes i did use WUBI 2 do the install,as it seemed easier.
think i will go with door no.2,ha ha ha
just read up & it says WUBI should only be installed short term 2 try it out.
thanx again,will prob b back on the forum with more questions soon,really enjoy the freedom of Linux (tho i aint a young guy)
