unable install ubuntu in windows7

i am trying to install ubuntu11 inside windows7 or windowsxp after extracting all files

it display an error message "PERMISSION DENIED" and check the logfile with some path.

Why not use Win7's disk tool and resize the NTFS. You can then install Ubuntu to the free space. This will give a better experence as NTFS will not be a factor and the OS will also be easier to fix as the live CD can easily be booted to to get direct access to the partition files. This is not so easy with Wubi.

If you still want to use wubi then you need to mount the ISO you downloaded (after MD5 testing it) and run the setup there. You do NOT extract the files from the ISO. This will not work.
