Ubuntu 11.04 Dual Boot problems

Asked by Isidro Martinez

Downloaded Ubuntu 11.04, made the DVD disk and proceeded to install on my Win XP home PC. Now the Dual Boot option does not appear. Note, I installed on the same machine with a previous Ubuntu 10.0 with Dual boot and no problems. Can anyone help?
I did not remove the previous Ubuntu 10.0, maybe 11.04 version is confused? or am I confused?
Isidro

All my WIN XP files are intact, but I am not able to boot into Windows XP. No option appears it goes straight to Ubuntu 11.04.

The problem is likely to do with the windows boot manager timeout being set to 0.
Right click on My Computer, Properties, Advanced, Startup and recovery settings. Make sure the timeout is 15 or 30. Also while you're there make sure there is an entry for Ubuntu in the drop down box. (Do not set Ubuntu as default).

Can you help with this problem?
