wubi installer is not running leaves a message no drive installed pyrun

Asked by David Williams

I just tried to download ubuntu within windows 7 using wubi. I have done it in the past on another computer and a past version of ubuntu. But just now I downloaded the installer and it hangs up. It gives me a message that there is no disk installed. The file name reads pyrun. Any way I would like to know it this is a bug that will be corrected soon or if there is something else I can try.

To avoid this, please remove all peripherals, MMC readers that are not required for the installation.
Please review the bug for more information.

Thanks for everyone's help. Disconnecting my external hard drive and printer seemed to do the trick.
