Wubi

I am using windows intaller ubuntu don't boot

after i ipdated my ubuntu on the boot screen i get i choice in between windows or Ubuntu choose ubuntu and the computer reboots it self.Can anyone give some ideas i am newbie when it comes to Linux.

Can you boot an older kernel? Wubi makes things VERY hard to troubleshoot as the install is on an image rather than a proper install.

Have you installed Ubuntu alongside or inside (Wubi) Windows partition ?

There is a link to the Wubi megathread on ubuntuforums.org where you'll find that Problem #2, Solution #1 is what you need to fix it. After getting it booting, there is a Permanent fix as well.
