trying to do a dualboot install
WinXp SP3 is installed, Windows installer for Ubuntu is installed
Attempts to install Ubuntu 10.10 hit roadblocks. It try s to take over the entire disk if you want to a manual install.
It creates error messages if you install it inside Windows= "No Root file defined or something to that effect and begins looping if you try to cancel .
I have used several versions of Ubuntu and never had this much trouble trying to install Ubuntu. Why the change in installation possibilites?, always before it would coexist with Windows as long as it was installed after Windows.
In other words prior to Ubuntu 10.10 you could insert the Ubuntu disk that you created the usual way and after you saw the Installer icon on your desktop you could being a easy process to end up with both Ubuntu and Windows.
