cant see any thing in ubuntu installation drive

i have just installed
Ubuntu Desktop Edition from Windows installer
and the problem is i cant see any of my files in d:\
drive where i installed ubuntu and when i open windows i can see the files

...
and i dont know why ubuntu does not plays any of music even a mp3 file it says for codec i download it even then also please help ?

did you install Ubuntu to "D:\" ?
What is "D:\" ?

  Did you partition your hard drive and name part of D:/ ?

you can find your windows files under the /host directory.

To play mp3's you need to intall the restricted extras package (sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras).
