I've had the same problem. Go to Start and type in the search box 'msconfig' click on the boot tab and ensure that windows is the default boot-loader. Delete any other boot entry's. Reboot. Uninstall Ubuntu. Reboot and reinstall. If this doesn't work use chkdsk in Command Prompt to fix any file errors you may have.
Hope this works
