ati video mode causing bsod

Asked by wegoulet

using an ati radeon 7000 pci card w/64 mb video ram

system running windows xp sp2

wubi is running but after five minutes or so the screen goes blank

the only recourse is to do a cold boot and start over

Problem: How do I use gnome terminal to view and then change video settings

It is a known problem and I want very much to learn ubuntu from a user perspective

This is a known issue, which will hopefully get better with next release. In the meantime you can follow one of the many guide on setting up your ati driver in Ubuntu.

Can you help with this problem?
