Writetype does support translations. We currently have Spanish and Dutch translations. Are you interested in translating?

Thanks Max Shinn, that solved my question.

Yes, I would like to translate it into basque.

Awesome!

I use the qt translation format (.ts) instead of the gettext (.po), because it integrates better into my application. These can be translated in Qt Linguist. Here is the link:
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~trombonechamp/writetype/dev/download/head%3A/writetype.ts-20100527190640-w7ja8l7z1u0by6sk-2/writetype.ts

If you have a strong preference for .po files, I can convert one for you; they are just a little bit harder to work with.

There is also one more thing that is needed for a translation besides the interface. We need a list of all the most commonly used words in Basque, such as ones you you would find in /usr/share/dict. This is so that WriteType can offer suggestions for words.

Did I explain myself well enough? Does all of that make sense? Will this work for you?

Thank you!

I can't open the writetype.ts file using Vitaal neither using OmegaT. :-(

I would prefer a .po file, please.

In this moment I have not a list of all the most commonly used words in Basque , such as ones you you would find in /usr/share/dict, but I will ask my friends and I think we'll get one soon for you.

Thank you!

Thanks again for your help!

I couldn't download it like the file like .po but .txt

I've translated some strings directly (in the window bellow) and submit them, just for test.

It is ok?

Can you work this way?

Should I translate this way all the strings into basque?

Hit download on the upper right side of pastebin and download it. If necessary, rename it from .txt to .po. Really, .po files are just text files with a different extension.
