have installed wine layer nedd to know how to use it in ubuntu linux

Hi,

I need instruction on how to run windows programs from ubuntu linux environement
i have a ntfs partition that has my windows xp installed can i run programs from that environnement

If you are at the command line and in a folder with your .exe type "wine your_program.exe". That easy.

The eyecandy mode:
rigth click on your .exe =>open with=> open with another app
(on the bottom of the wondow) use custom command. type there wine and click on open.

After that .exe files will offer you to open the program with wine.

I did the above but got this error: wine Civillization 3.exe
wine: could not load L"C:\\windows\\system32\\Civillization.exe": Module not found
What can I do ?

Mark, when you're trying to run an app, you should try to look it up at Wine HQ.org.
