Using Image Writer on Win 10.2 and uSD card

Asked by Mark Skoglund

I have just finished updating to Windows 10.2 (creators edition) (1703) and now when I insert a micro SD card that contains an image of Windows 10 IoT that runs on a Raspberry Pi3 the OS now shows 5 drive letters instead of the previous 1 drive letter. It was easy to read the card image to a file and then write to another card from that image file.

Is there a method/procedure to get an image of the entire uSD card so that I can create copies that are needed to run on other RPi3s?

In theory, this should just work, however I don't have a system with Windows 10 and built in SD reader, so I haven't tried this combination yet.

The program allows you to select the volume, then it reads the raw physical device (which would have all of your partitions).

Can you help with this problem?
