ImageWriter reads/writes image files - not isos. If you want to burn an ISO, there are other tools for that....

Hope this helps.

I don't think this was the answer he was looking for.

By default, Win32DiskImager 0.9.5 will look for *.img or *.IMG files in the the <user profile>\Downloads directory (usually c:\Users\<userID>\Downloads). You can also have it look for *.* which will show you all files in that directory. While Windows has created security blocks preventing Drag and Drop to elevated tasks in Vista and newer, we can accept copy/paste. So from Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer), if you find your file, select it and select copy (either from the menu or <ctrl>-c and paste from there into the Image File textbox in Win32DiskImager.

The next release will have a mechanism to add more file types beyond the current default.

Note that we do NOT read/write cdrom drives. We can deal with an ISO image (we treat all files as raw data). If the ISO you have does not support this method for creating a bootable USB image, you may need to use a different tool (Universal USB Creator).

Can you help with this problem?
