Writing data IMG to USB Floppy Drive

I was using Image Writer to write to a USB floppy drive and I can no longer start windows, it is looking for a proper boot device, I also have a copy of WinOnUSB, I ran windows from The USB Stick & windows tells me the hard drive is now the Image that I wrote to the USB Floppy Drive, Can I get my data back? also when I right select on the hard drive there is a option for previous version, Can I click on that or will that make it worse. Please let me know if there is anything I do or have I lost everything?

You apparently missed the section in the ReadMe that said 'Does not work with USB Floppy drives.' This is why we have that.

As to data recovery, I'm not sure. I have not used WinOnUSB and have little experience with Windows recovery methods. Having said that, it is likely possible that you can recover with the option you mentioned as (iirc) Windows puts the boot loader and recovery partition at the beginning of the drive (at least that is how my Windows 7 VM is configured). If you can access your Windows drive with the WinOnUSB, you should be able to at least get to your data and back it up to an external drive.

Thank You for your message, I have had the program on my computer for a while now and I noticed on the download page about warning USB Floppy Drives, I am not looking to blame anyone at the time it seemed the easiest way, at first I did not know what happened, I believed Drive A was A & Drive C was C, I had been trying to put Dos 6.22 on a USB stick but it was missing the system files required on boot on USB, I have a dos bootable CD but I did not think that DOS would find the USB Floppy Drive, The biggest problem I had is you can not edit a RW CD under dos, anyway I will try what you suggest and I will use DOS to make any changes.

Can you help with this problem?
