How can I boot and install windows XP via USB?

I tried using a program called WUBI multiboot to make my usb drive bootable to a ISO file I created from a windows xp cd. However while installing windows xp (stage 2) it stopped at about 90% and doesn't go any farther. I've tried a different cd to make the iso image, same result.
Then I got to reading that programs like wubi and other usb software corupts the image for I couldn't install other Linux distros with this software neither.
So I looked into something else to use, i came across win32imagae writer. I write the iso file onto my usb drive and I can't get it to boot at all. I select the usb drive and it still goes to my hdd.

So the question is, after or before burning the iso file, how do I make it bootable? thanks

We do not support making just any ISO into a boot img for USB. The ISO's that do work were created to work by the developers that publish those ISOs. We are only a raw write utility.

For what you want to accomplish, I suggest either Unetbootin or Universal USB Installer.
