How to create image of SD card?

Asked by Dubravko Tuckoric

On your sourceforge.net page it is writen:
"Description
This program is designed to write a raw disk image to a removable device or backup a removable device to a raw image file."

Have a Rapsberry Pi NOOBS preinstaled card. I do not see how to backup this card to a raw image file ? I'm using 0.9.5 release
Thanks

I'm not familiar with that specific card, but in general:
insert the card and note the drive letter than windows assigns it
run imagewriter, select the drive in the "device" box
put a filename in the "image file" text area.
Click "Read" - the device should be read and the image written to the filename that you specified.

What part are you having trouble with?

Thanks,
do not realise that read mean "Create img file from Device" but now it seems OK. I did not to re create img on other device but hope it will work OK :-)

Yes - "Read" means "Read the Device", "Write" is "Write to the Device".

Glad that helped.....
