Image Writer

Device Selection Dropdown has no entries

I am using Image Writer for the first time on an e-machines Windows 7 Home Premium machine with a build-in micro-SD card slot. I can see the micro-SD card as drive G: in My Computer. I cannot select any device to write to from the device drop-down box. Any ideas?

Problem solved. Restart disk imager with SD card in slot - drive G: was selectable - and was the only selectable option.

Actually if you could, please file a bug report on this with as much detail of your hardware as you can. Win32DiskImager should auto-detect SD insertion/removal. But it doesn't get notifications from some systems for unknown reasons (I haven't been able to reproduce it here). I believe it may be that I am only looking for USB insertion/removal notifications and will need to dive deeper into this.
