Image Writer

SD image load stops at 49% - SOLVED

I am trying to load a Pi SD card. I have loaded imagewriter and the image on my laptop. Every time I try to load the card it stops at 49%.
Is this because I am trying with a 2 gig SD card???

I thought it said that PI would work with a 2 Gig card but recommended 4.

 I just found new documentation saying 4 gig - !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry
