Asked by koliko

went through the procedure on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1343143 to root my nook device (albeit nook color). After slotting in my written micro SD into the nook color after a successful write process, and powering on, the device screen just blinks and is not opening. any helps, folks.

Actually this is not the forum for this question, because Win32-image-writer did exactly what it was supposed to do, it wrote the image that you told it to to a microSD card.

However, I will answer your question. Did you notice that the instructions that you were following were for the NOOKtouch and not the NOOKcolor? If you wrote the files from that post, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1343143 to your SD card and then copied those to your NOOKcolor, you wrote a /system/build.prop, packages.xml and framework.jar for a NOOK Simple Touch to a NOOKcolor.

This would be akin to installing BMW Engine management software into an Audi and then wondering why the engine is misfiring. I suggest you either boot back into CWM recovery--hopefully you have it successfully installed--or reimage your microSD with the correct files. OR RESET your NC back to factory by using the 8 failed boot method: http://nookdevs.com/NookColor/RestoreToStock

I hope that helps.

Can you help with this problem?
