Asked by Kiwook Na

As I used this program to write iso file on my usb stick, I coundn't use it as a normal usb stick. So I want to make it back, but I don't know how. I tried formating it with windows7 but it didn't work. What should I do?

You need to download the HP USB Format Tool and run a quick format.

If this does NOT work (and it didn't for me) you will have to boot into Ubuntu and use a program called GParted to delete all the partitions on the usb stick. Then format the stick in Ubuntu. Go back to windows 7 and format the usb again.

Harry's right. This FAQ points to the thread where the solutions are discussed.

Jeff B suggests this article as an answer to your question:

GParted is also avalible as a Live CD.

You'll find everything you need to know about it here:

Easy: SAVE the initial USB Stick "image" before creating the bootable one, using the "read" function. Save it for instance to MyBasicImage.img and restore it after you have done via the "write" function.

Can you help with this problem?
