Windows 7 compatibility

When starting theimage writer under Win7 (run as admin) I cannot choose the USB disk as the drop down menu is not dropping down.

Is this a known issue? Maybe even Win7 incompatibility? Anyalternatives?

The same is happening to me. Windows 7 x64.

0.4 version works fine.

Doubt it's a Win7 incompatibility. Is it a USB hard disk, or some sort of flash drive?

The drop down should show any devices that are removable, writable and on the USB bus.

The one known issue is that card readers don't show in the drop-down if they don't have media in them, and it doesn't update the drop-down if media is inserted while ImageWriter is running. If the media is inserted before ImageWriter is started, it should show in the drop-down.

But that issue was true for 0.4 too, which you indicate worked for you. I don't *believe* that anything relating to the drop-down changed between 0.4 and 0.5, but as long as it worked for you.....

Actually you are right. Yesterday I crosschecked with different USB sticks. And the problem was related to the stick and not to W7. This means my initial stick was not working with 0.5 but only with 0.4. Any other USB stick was ok.

Still I cannot explain :)
