widelands

appliance crashes more often than i would like,(2-3 )times per hour

game crashes at various times!
sometimes 2-3 times within a few minutes,
sometimes after a couple of hours!
my system is as follows
AMD Phenom X4810 Processor with 4 x 2.61 GHzs.
4 Gigs Memory.
Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bit.
Geforce 8400GS Graphic Card.
100 Gigs Free Space.
I use Release 15
I have tried both downloads,but the same thing happens on both!
I would be very much obliged, for enlightenment as to why this occurs!
because it´s no fun when this happens !
I do not play over the Internet, just against my computer

(oh ! by the way the answer can be in German if it`s easier ) My Mother Tongue is English !

Hi,

There are several crash bugs documented (https://bugs.launchpad.net/widelands/+bugs?field.searchtext=crash). Difficult to say if yours is already listed without more details.

Hi,
there are some reports about crashes with the windows executables in the bug tracker (As arnaudus already said) and in the forum (http://wl.widelands.org/forum/forum/1/). It is better to comment on this bugs/threads and hope that somebody can track these problem.

I tried to get the two build15 windows binaries working under windows 7 some time ago and I had no success with that. These binaries seems to be incompatible with widows 7 and perhaps even with windows vista. These are most probably not bugs in widelands itself but in the way how the binaries (and libraries for it) are compiled under windows.

Sorry that I am not able to help you with these crashes.
