Trouble with Bazaar

Asked by Marcus Bell on 2010-04-29

Hi,

I downloaded the files mentioned in the wiki, & went about halfway through list "Building under MSVC" to be stuck.
I'm unfamiliar with Bazaar & need some advice.

When Bazaar starts, the command line says:

Unable to import library "launchpadlib": No module named launchpadlib
Unable to load plugin u'pipeline' from u'C:/Program Files/Bazaar/plugins'

Note the u in front of path, I didn't change any defaults in install.
Then the GUI starts & I can download the source but again it tells me:

Unable to import library "launchpadlib": No module named launchpadlib
Unable to load plugin u'pipeline' from u'C:/Program Files/Bazaar/plugins'
You have not informed bzr of your Launchpad ID, and you must do this to
write to Launchpad or access private data. See "bzr help launchpad-login".

My Launchpad ID is same as user name? I put 'Marcus Bell' but it still complains.
Will this prevent me from uploading a private branch?
Also, I'm not sure where to put Boost libraries.

You should read through the bazaar docs[1] and the launchpad docs [2]. Jari Hautio is the man for building widelands via Visual Studio, you can try to conact him directly, I doubt he reads the questions here.
