How do I share the redpost_images directory?

Asked by mbs

I'd like to share the redpost_images directory so I can run the sign in Local mode, but add / delete / change the content over my wireless network. I've gotten into the OS by hiding firefox, but I expected a desktop / file system and instead saw only a toolbar.

I know next to nothing about Wicker, Ubuntu, or Linux for that matter, but feel fine following instructions that involve a command line. Thanks in advance!

If you right click on the desktop, you can access a lot of the built-in apps.

The way to share content is to turn on and configure Samba. Here's a good set of instructions:

To get to the command line, hit ctrl-alt-f1. To return to graphical mode, hit ctrl-alt-f7. "sudo su" will make you the root user (there's no root password).

Can you help with this problem?
