Where does WICD store the wifi network information?

Asked by Joseph Howe

I had issues setting up wifi on raspbian, and found wicd. It got it up and running straight away, so I'm assuming I was doing something wrong trying to configure it myself. I'd like to see what it's done different, so I know where I screwed up.

My password had some $$ in it, so I think that could be the issue, or my router only allowing wpa/wpa2 at the same time, not able to turn off wpa and use wpa2 solely.

If you could tell me where the config files are, I'd love to go through it to see what data it generated from the info I gave it, to see what I entered incorrectly for wpa_supplicant so I don't make the mistake again.
