Add pre-connection script

I am trying to add a pre-connection script to a new Wi-Fi connection in the graphical interface (I`m using LXDE).
I placed the script at /etc/wicd/scripts/ preconnect and added the script name for the new connection in the graphical interface. I save the script name, but after returning to configuration, the script name has vanished,
