Can wicd automatically select a wired profile

Asked by Thomas Preston

I have a script which asks me which environment I would like to use (work/home/laptop/shell) when I log in. Each environment has a slightly different set up (external screens and other variables). I would like wicd to choose the wired 'home' profile when I'm at home and 'work' when I'm at work. Is there anyway for wicd to select a profile based on the existence of a file or to change the profile from the command line?

Hi, try adding the following to your scripts:

# wicd-cli --wired -c -o -m profile_name

that is, I will need to create a script with this code and add it to configure a connection to the network necessary to me? I apologize - I have a new theme for, but to do that it would work

Can you help with this problem?
