Adding profiles without network in range
Hi!
Is there any possibility to (programatically, via dbus) add network profile without being in range? Or create method to do it?
I'm writing a tool that allows administrator to create and propagate profiles among the users. Basically the case scenario is:
1. Administrator creates profile and generates a script.
2. User downloads script at home (when he has an internet access) and runs it.
3. User comes to work and connects to preconfigured network.
I already have basic dbus integration that allows me to add profile while being in range but using this is diffilcult for users.
Thanks guys! I appreciate your work!

Hello,
this is indeed a long-standing wishlist bug. FYI, it was already reported in Debian in 2009 (!), but I really haven't got around implementing it.
Unfortunately, it's not currently possible via DBus (the only method is manually tweaking the conf files -- but I can't support it, you know).
I'll try to target it for 1.7.3 or, more probably, 1.7.4/whatever will come next.
Sorry for the disservice,
David
