isr and beamstrahlung in lepton collider

Asked by Yehia Abdelaziz

I am trying to generate events in ee collider while implementing isr and beamstrahlung for the ilc.

The problem is that after WHIZARD run, I look at the lhe file but I don't see any photons. Why is that? Shouldn't the photon that is radiated from the electrons appear in the lhe file?

Hi Yehia,
1) the beam remnant from the beam spectrum is never included in the event, in agreement with the demands of the experimental collaborations. The collision just happens at a lower energy.
2)
A bit counter-intuituve, you need to set both
?keep_beams = true
to keep the photons in the event file. Note that they are strictly collinear, unless you switch the ISR pT treatment on by
?isr_handler = true
$isr_handler_mode = "recoil"
