Pedigree Chart

Asked by omnior

Wouldn't it be good to have in the pedigree chart a possibility to change the number of generations?

Eh??? It does, and always has done. Does your Pedigree Chart not look like this one:

sorry, for the not so clear question. What I meant was the pedigree Chart as REPORT not as DIAGRAMM. Of course in the diagram one could always chose the number of generations. But in the report, let's assume I use A3 one could easily bring more than 4 generations on one chart.
Of course there are other influencing factors involved (e.g. font size) but always having 4 generations is that the best solution?

Ah, that makes more sense. I'm sure it's possible. Please add a Feature Request on http://webtrees.net.

Initially we have a clearly defined list of priorities (Blueprints), but will be planning other developments once we are into official releases, so having all new ideas in one place will help greatly.

I do not think that the design of the report system will allow this.

I think the layout is fixed - which explains why this report has a separate "portrait" and "landscape" version. (The other reports have a portrait/landscape config option).

Can you help with this problem?
