german Umlaut in family navigator

Asked by omnior

I remarked, that in the last version (8152) there is still a problem with german umlauts. All ö/ä/ü/ß are not shown correctly. This is the case for text in the boxes in the family navigator but also for all "subtabs" in the family navigator (descendancy, individual, families).

This is a bug.

The sidebar is missing a character set header definition:

header('Content-type: text/html; charset=UTF-8');

I'll fix this tonight.

While in the subtabs it seems ok now, in the main view of the family navigator (e.g. if the sidebar is opened and the family relations are shown, there still remains the Umlaut problem.

another thing I remarked. While in Firefox the subtabs of the family navigator expand correctly (all unopen subtabs are at the bottom), in IE the opened tab is just "open" for 3-4 lines, then the next unopen tabs are shown. They should be at the bottom.

PS: I am not sure whether to put such a "thing" as a seperate bug or leave it at the preopened.

I have added the UTF8 headers to the "default" pane of the sidebar, as well as the dynamically loaded panes.

For your other points, it is probably best to raise them as separate bugs.

You can also screen-dumps to bugs, which is useful for display issues.
