Weather Indicator

Is Indicator-Weather not certified for Ubuntu 12.10

I notice under Ubuntu 12.10 that weather-indicator does not display its icon when displayed on the status bar of Xfce desktop. That's not a big deal but I also notice when I do a forecast for a city a message is returned saying "Forecast information cannot be fetched. Connection cannot be established." Is weather-indicator not certified to be used with Ubuntu 12.10?
