RTL language testing

Asked by abdullahc

Hi,

I want to test my Arabic translation in Warsow, but I could not find where to put my .mo in game directory.

Are the .mo files integrated somehow in the game files?

Do I need to wait until next synchronisation?!

Kink regards.

Unfortunately, Warsow does not support the translations atm. This is partly due to the fact that we have no experience in creating a cross-platform gettext application. :/ Even though Warsow supports unicode texts atm, unfortunately, I do not think it has any preparations for RTL languages right now.
If you think you can help or if you know someone who could, that would be great!

I will see what can I do!

But first, where could I find information about Warsow development?
To check if it uses some kits (like SDL), Those may be affect Language & Texts Manipulation...

Thank you.

For the most in-depth information, I would suggest asking on the Warsow forums or having a look at the lastest SDK (http://launchpad.net/warsow/0.4/0.42/+download/warsow_0.42_sdk.zip). :) hth

Warsow UI in the Arabic script is gonna look cool :) But adding support for complex and RTL scripts (Arabic is both) is gonna take a while.
