Disable AI players

Hello,
I was trying to play Wargus multiplayer together with some friends, but there is apparently no way to disable the AI players. For example, on an 8 player map, if we are 3 players, the other players up to 8 will be replaced by computers. Is there any way to disable all the AI players? Is there a setting somewhere?
I have a bit of experience with LUA, so even a hint about how to disable the AI players from the LUA scripts would be highly appreciated.

You can edit the map's SMP file to remove the additional players.
