Can Wargus operate with the original Warcraft?

Just for curious, can I play Wargus with my friends who are running original Warcraft2 in LAN mode? Thanks

No.
engines are different, and the protocol too.

But you can play one on Windows and the other on Linux (both with wargus).

Can you help with this problem?
