A couple of questions...

Asked by Pyrarrows

I've been modifying Wargus for fun, and I have managed to WCI graphics in alongside the WCII graphics. My first question is how would I go about creating new races, with their own unit codes (I'm fairly sure having two 'unit-footman' units wouldn't work well...), so I could have Warcraft I units next to their Warcraft II counterparts.

My next question is about the ... incomplete interface, I used Wargus back when it was in the 1.x.x versions, and it had a complete interface, a box appeared around the unit-info section of the screen when I had some units selected, and all buttons scrollbars, and the save/load window all used the racal backgrounds(blue texture for humans, red for main menu, and orcs), instead of the new blue-purple background. also all of the scrollbars had arrows at the ends. Just like the 'Real' Warcraft II I'm fairly certain that with some work, all of those parts could be completed, since they used to be there in the past.

For 1rst part :
The management of race is done in wargus mostly in scripts/wc2.lua ( with DefineRaceNames and the overwrite of CreateUnit to manage equivalent unit)

For the second part, you can look at ui.lua {human,orc}/ui.lua

Can you help with this problem?
