How to set multiplayer race/ number of players

When I create a multiplayer TCP/IP game, the only options in wargus is how many units and resource amount. There are no options to pick your race or to set how many computer players there are. When I start the game. It randomly selects the race and there are the maximum number of computer players. How does one select the race/number of players?

This is on the PC using a Warcraft 1.0 CD, the original, not battle net edition.

I think that in multiplayer game is not possible add computer players (now). And race you can select in menu.

Selecting race in multiplayer game is now fixed on bzr.

Im sorry Im not sure what BZR is? I see that the downloadbale version is still 2.2.5.4, is there a newer, updated copy that works?
