Wallch doesn't change the GDM Login screen's wallpaper anymore

Asked by Vincent

I'm not sure if it was a previous feature but I loved to see my beautiful login screen each time I come back on my computer. Since Ubuntu 13.10 and Gnome Shell 3.8, I have a blue background (this one http://ubuntuguide.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/GNome-3-10-lock-screen.jpg ) instead of my desktop wallpaper. I was pretty sure to have the same on both on the previous Ubuntu 13.04. Can you confirm?

Hello Vincent. This was not a feature of Wallch. Gnome used to set as login-screen wallpaper you current desktop background.

Wallch only took care of changing your desktop background.

Unfortunatly it doesn't work anymore on my Gnome 3.8, do you know why?

No. I don't know why :)

As I said, Wallch just changes your desktop background. If this applies to your login screen isn't controlled by Wallch in any way.

It should be the decision of Gnome 3.8 developers to leave it that way, I suppose.

Can you help with this problem?
