Suggestion for Wallch - No option to alphabetize wallpaper list

Asked by Cuziwanaknow

When I add wallpaper to the list of items already listed, there is no option to "RIGHT CLICK" and alphabetize the list; either A to Z or vise versa. I would like to suggest a user option to be able to alphabetize the list a wallpapers.

Hello Cuziwanaknow!

With the new version of Wallch you will not be able to add wallpapers manually, you will only be able to recursively monitor one and only one folder. With this in mind, such a feature is not a good idea, because Wallch will have to research all the folders on change and re-arrange the items in alphabetical order, which is time consuming.

What I suggest you to do is to use the find tool that comes with Wallch to search for the images you need.

Thanks but that is not a viable solution. Problem still not solved but I'm outta here.

I'm no programmer, but can I suggest a way? Why not have the user create their own folder apart from Wallch which we can manually relabel each file inside 1-2-3 or a-b-c or whatever to create a desired sequence and all we have to do is direct Wallch to read the folder and each file inside without the need to calculate anything, or is that idea just wistful thinking?

Keep up the great job
