Does Qemulator need support of h/w virtualization

Asked by khan wahid

Hi,
I could not find any information regarding the Qemulator. Does it need H/W virtualization support from the host PC to enable VMs with Guest OS?

Hello,

Qemulator is no longer maintained/supported. Virtualbricks replaces it as you may have noticed.

No HW virtualization is required to run your virtual machines, as the software supports Qemu, and you can also run a qemu-system-x which is different from your current hardware CPU family (e.g. run ARM virtual machines on your x86 guest).

By all means, HW virtualization is always suggested, to get better performance on native VMs.

Hoping that this answer may help.

Regards
