.deb or .tar with make file?

Asked by Duskao

Is there any chance you can make a .deb or perhaps a .tar with a make file so that those that dont use ubuntu/debian can install this? Itś fairly easy to convert a .deb. It is likely that you could become much more well known if you support a bit more indirectly.

You can download the latest version from trunk or unpack the .deb file.
In either you'll find a standard Python install script (setup.py) which should install on any Linux (possible any POSIX) system.
