There is a configuration file, normally at:
<Path to the program installation directory>
or
/usr/local/
This sets default directory locations, for database, images, logs, export and backup folders. Normally users should never need to edit this file, but it may need changing to match the policies of different distributions.
vatstuff.cfg consists of sections:
folders - specifies the folder locations of required files.
rates - specifies the default standard and reduced VAT rates.
symbols - specifies the default currency symbols.
logging - enables logging, and debug logging level
These defaults are used whenever a new database is created.
