Does Variety display images from folders within a folder?

I have Variety pointing to my pictures folder, but within that folder, I have ~1000 images and 5 other folders, each with images and some with folders still, does variety read the images in those folders or do I have to add the folder paths to variety?

Yes, it does, you only need to add the top folder
