since version 0.6.9 the language installed (German) turned to English.
it is possible to change the current language (English) to German?

Hi Pierre. How was Variety installed - via official PPA, Ubuntu repos, Debian?

James, could this be packaging-related somehow? We do ship the alternative languages in the official Ubuntu and Debian packages of Variety I assume?

Hi Peter, I installed Variety via the Ubuntu repository (Ubuntu 18.04, 64bit)
