Variety

screensaver?

This might be an odd request but is it at all possible to get the functionality of variety in the form of a screensaver? I don't know how crazy that would be and my own coding skills are pretty weak. I'm just tired of xscreensaver and what not and would like an internet connected screensaver that displays remarkable images just like variety does for wallpapers.

Just a thought.

Install variety-slideshow from the PPA, it gives similar functionality, and
it will appear as a Slideshow tab in Vairety's preferences. But it's not
exactly a screensaver and won't work for a locked screen.
