Is it possible to put the clock on only one desktop?

Asked by edgarswooth

It looks kind of silly duplicated across two displays, especially if one is in portrait mode and so only the left few characters of the clock show on that monitor.

Clock is drawn on the wallpaper itself. It depends on the wallpaper display settings whether the wallpaper is duplicated across displays or stretched/spanned across them. In any case, it's not possible on most DEs to show an image with the clock on one screen and an image without the clock on another.

I guess one possible way to do this would be to generate a tiled image, but with the clock printed on only one tile, and then let the DE use this in spanning mode, rather than generating one untiled image and letting the DE duplicate it. But I admit it's a pretty low-priority feature request. Feel free to mark this as wontfix or whatever is appropriate.

Can you help with this problem?
