Why not add the slideshow part to the main program

After installing the slideshow part of Variety i wonder why not add it in the main program as maybe a lot of people do not read the text in the settings and never use it.

As being an old man with a photography hobby i almost installed another app in order to turn my old old laptop into a digital pictureframe . :-)

 Its working great and should be a standard choice in the program or maybe a menu item to choose to install it from within, i think
