Cannot download wallpapers from Wallpapers.net

I visited wallpapers.net, selected desire wallpaper category and paste the URL in the add Wallpapers.net category URL bar. However, Variety feedback with this message "Could not find wallpapers there. Please check the URL" .

In fact, Variety on my Ubuntu 12.04 was not able download wallpapers automatically from wallpapers.net since Nov 2015. I only noticed this now. This also applied to other wallpaper source like wallhaven.

Does it something to do with the changes of source websites or other matter was causing this?

Yes, Wallpapers.net changed and will not be supported in the future, related UI will be removed from Variety.
Wallhaven's SSL certificate changed and requires additional Python dependencies. There is a fix committed for this, not yet released.
