Resize/Crop and center (or "not bigger than X%" option)

Asked by Samuele Manfrin

Hello,
is it possible to have an option to resize (or crop) wallpaper as they are downloaded, in order to let then have fixed size? I really like to have wallpaper like a framed painting, e.g. resized to max 800x600 (e.s. 800xYYY or XXXx600, where YYY<600 or XXX<800) then centered.
This action (could) be a "preprocess" of image, before to save them on folders.

Alternatively, can be added a new option e.g. under "Color and size" telling "Size" -> "Are not bigger than [XXX] % of screen resolution" and combine it with the current "Size" -> "Are big at least [XXX] % of the screen resolution", in order to download just images having desired size.

Thank you :)

You can define a custom ImageMagick filter (see the other filters in ~/.config/variety/variety.conf), or you can put the necessary commands directly in ~/.config/variety/scripts/set_wallpaper. This request is too specific to be useful for more people than a few people.

Can you help with this problem?
